The Blue Lion Classic was first played in 2018 at The Nottinghamshire G&CC. 2022 will be the fifth contesting for the trophy with previous host venues being The Nottinghamshire in 2018 & 2020, Lutterworth GC in 2019 and Stoneleigh Deer Park GC in 2021.
The 2022 edition of the competition will be played at Atherstone GC.
